139th Annual Open Exhibition

RSW 139th Annual Open Exhibition Call for Entries Artists working in water-based media across the UK are invited to apply to be part of the largest display of Water-based work in Scotland. The RSW believes that painting using thin films of water based pigment is a unique skill, the mastery of which confirms the painter's commitment to their art. For the viewer, the primacy of such skill conveys a particular richness, and for those who use the medium themselves, the art watercolour provides a direct inspiration. To this end, in our membership, exhibitions, prize giving and all other activities we will curate to promote this singular and beautiful technique.

Attention Artists - Beware of Scams

The featured listings above this note all use the OESS to manage your artwork entries, therefore we are pretty sure they are legitimate calls. Many will charge entry fees to cover administration and exhibition costs so we recommend you consider their offerings very carefully before deciding if they are worthwile for you.

All the listings below are managed independently of the OLIST and OESS, therefore we cannot confirm their accuracy or reliability, we recommend that you thoroughly check and research all details before making any payments. Please check with the organiser for more information.

We cannot check all the listings posted to this site but if you suspect a scam, please let us know and we will investigate and if necessary remove them from The OLIST

Curators and Exhibition Organisers - Please Note:
Due to the rise in the number of scams and profit making schemes targeting artists, from 1st June 2018 we will no longer accept listings from profit making organisations unless they are using the OESS submission system.
If you are a charity or a 'not for profit' organisation you can still add your listing for free. However we reserve the right not to show your listing on The OLIST if we cannot confirm your charitable or 'not for profit' status from the details you submit.
