Four years ago we launched Women in Art Fair with one uncompromising goal: to dismantle the systemic gender imbalance that still dominates the art world. Our mission has been clear from the start: “to create a positive global platform from which female artists, curators and gallerists are given an opportunity to show their work and contribute to the developing exchange of ideas around gender, sexuality and culture”.
The facts remain:
- Only 3–5% of global auction sales are works by women artists
- Women artists earn on average just 10–20% of what male artists earn
- The median auction price for work by a woman artist is less than half that of a male artist
This is not a historical accident; it is structural injustice. And it is unacceptable.
Selection Committee & Prize Jury
Each work submitted will be carefully chosen by our exceptional Selection Committee. The committee will select their favourite works to then be selected for participation for WIAF 26.
- Christian Levett – Visionary collector and founder of FAMM (Femmes Artistes du Musée de Mougins), the world’s first major museum dedicated exclusively to women artists
- Batia Ofer – Leading collector and Chair of the Royal Academy of Arts Trust, champion of inclusive and socially engaged art
- Brigitta Freund – Influential patron and Creative Director of Spinocchia Freund, with a peerless eye for innovative contemporary talent
- Virginia Damsta – Co-founder of the pioneering Riflemaker Gallery and founder of VirginiaVisualArts; three decades of curatorial excellence and advocacy for women artists
- Vanessa Raw – Artist and former triathlete whose works evoke a semi-naturalistic style, with an intense focus on the textures of the human form.
Applications are now open for Women in Art Fair 2026 We invite women, and women identifying artists (of any age, nationality, and medium), to apply for the chance to exhibit at WIAF 26.
Artists are encouraged to consider variety in their portfolio, submitting up to five works in any medium, to give the selection committee an overview of their practice and themes.
As we continue to fulfil our mission, we invite you to join us. In a world where women’s art continues to be overlooked, we offer a transformative space where their creativity takes centre stage – where representation and value are celebrated and championed.

Terms and Conditions
General Information
The exhibition will be held in OXO Gallery, London. The exhibition takes place from May 7 - 10, 2026.
The venue address is Barge House St, London, SE1 9PH.
Eligibility
Submissions of work are invited from visual artists working in any medium.
Restrictions
All entries must be less than 1.5 meters in any one direction including frame.
Image Uploads
Image files should be JPG or PNG and no more than 5MB large. Upload time will depend on your internet connection speed so please be patient. If you are having problems uploading your images please use image editing software to resize your image to approximately 1600 pixels wide and then save as a new file. Image file names should not be too long and should not contain any invalid characters such as ' " & % * ( ) < > / ~ # + =
Pricing
Work selected for exhibition will be expected to be for sale. Commission is charged by WIAF at 30% on all sales. It will be assumed that the sale price includes the cost of any frame and our commission. Please allow for these points when pricing your work. Prices should include VAT if applicable. Prices cannot be amended once you have submitted your work.
Communications
All communication will be by email. Successful applicants will be notified by email and must respond within one week to confirm participation. Failure to do so could result in work being withdrawn From the exhibition.
Selection
The Selection Committee will select the works for the exhibition. The Selectors will consider all correctly completed submissions. The decision of the Selectors on all matters is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Insurance
Artists are responsible for insuring their own work. All works accepted for exhibition will be displayed entirely at the artists' risk and organisers and the gallery will not accept liability for loss or damage occurring during the exhibition or during delivery or collection to the exhibition.
Delivery and Collection
Please deliver and collect works to Oxo Gallery, Barge House St, London SE1 9PH.
The delivery instructions will be sent to exhibiting artists shortly after announcement.
Artists are responsible for the delivery and collection of their work at the Gallery. All packaging materials must be removed after delivery (no gallery storage is available for this) and brought back at collection. If you are applying from overseas please consider how you will get your work to and from the exhibition at the required times.
Work not collected at the stated times will be subject to a daily charge of £10 and will be disposed of after one week.
Agreement
By submitting to the exhibition you are deemed to accept and agree to the following:
The decision of the Selectors on all matters Is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
I understand that The Organisers reserves the right to make such changes to the exhibition arrangements and these Terms & Conditions as may be deemed necessary by circumstances.
I authorise The Organisers To process, store, and utilise the data in my submission and agree that, if selected for exhibition, images of my work can be freely used by The Organisers, The Gallery and associated organisations for promotional and publicity purposes.
I understand that there are no refunds on any application that i submit after the deadline of the Open Call
All information provided by me is true and accurate and that the work submitted is wholly of my own creation.
I have read and understood these terms and conditions and by submitting this application I accept and agree to observe all the Terms And Conditions therein.
